Regional Nonprofit Leaders Gather for Compensation and Benefits Data Rollout
On Feb. 14, InterSector will offer a third and final orientation to the results of the 2019 Northeast Wisconsin Nonprofit Compensation and Benefits Survey. The event will take place from 8-9:30 a.m. at Oshkosh Corp. 23 individuals already have registered.
They will join the 140 nonprofit executive directors, staff and board members, and funders in Green Bay and the Fox Cities who last week got a bird’s-eye view of regional nonprofit compensation and benefits trends. These trends were drawn from 155 aggregated responses received from nonprofit organizations of all sizes in 12 counties.
“Nonprofit leaders across the region have been calling for this information, so they were motivated to take part in the survey,” said InterSector project director Lisa Strandberg, who will present the overview. She will be joined by Dr. Benjamin Artz, the John E. Kerrigan Associate Professor of Economics in the College of Business at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, who will offer commentary.
“The last local surveys were completed three or four years ago, and we’ve never had a region-wide survey focused on nonprofits,” Strandberg said. “With nine partners co-investing in this work, we could share costs and generate a deeper pool of data than area nonprofits have ever seen.”
Survey partners included the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation, the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, United Way Fox Cities, Brown County United Way and the Nonprofit Impact Initiative, comprised of the Greater Green Bay Community Foundation, the Helen Daniels Bader Fund and RRF Foundation for Aging. The J. J. Keller Foundation, as underwriter of InterSector, also supported the survey.
In gratitude for their involvement, survey participants receive two complimentary seats at the event, using a discount code provided to them by email. Participants also receive free access to an in-depth report and slide deck highlighting survey trends. Non-participants can purchase access to these supplemental tools for $49 – a nominal fee meant to honor the time that survey participants devoted to submitting their organizations’ data.
